Located in Luxembourg, we are a service company that hosts Europe's single leading trading platform( e-CAT) for cross-border transmission capacity. On behalf of TSOs, we auction the available long and short-term transmission capacity rights on all internal EU borders.
On the 1st of October 2018, JAO became the Single Allocation Platform (SAP) for all European Transmission System Operators (TSOs) that operate in accordance to EU legislation, since it is able to implement and fulfill all regulatory obligations and requirements. We provide accounting (clearing and settlement), contracting, reporting and project support services.
About the job
We're seeking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to design and implement secure, automated deployment pipelines within our DevSecOps team. You'll leverage your experience to build resilient software solutions, enhance system integrations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key activities in the position
- Work primarily within the scope of the team to deliver secure, resilient and sustainable software solutions from design to implementation and deployment
- Design, implement, and enhance secure system integrations through automated deployment pipelines, incorporating security controls and compliance requirements when needed
- Support existing solutions, responding with urgency to operational issues and serving as a second level support when needed
- Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions and maintain vigilant system oversight through automated alerting, metrics analysis, and predictive problem-solving to prevent service degradations
- Actively engage in code reviews (scripts, IaC…), reconciling different opinions and following best practices set up by others
- Maintain detailed technical documentation for all implemented solutions, integrations, and security controls, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational continuity
- Ensure responsible decision making by assessing the impact and risk of solutions and follow with the appropriate communication to the stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with DevSecOps principles, including automations and operational efficiency enhancements
- Perform any ad-hoc activities in relation to the DevSecOps' role
We are looking for someone with the following skills set
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar experience
- Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken skills, any other language will be being an advantage
- At least 5 years of experience as a Dev(Sec)Ops, integration, infrastructure engineer or in a similar position
- Experience with Windows and terminal or command line interface based systems (Linux RHEL)
- Experience with networking and protocols (SSH, SSL/TLS, HTTPS, DNS, SFTP…)
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Github, Bitbucket…)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Bash, Ansible, Terraform…)
- Experience with supporting and troubleshooting IT-Systems
- Familiarity with ITIL and DevSecOps principles and practices
- Experience with Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL…) and SQL
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Github actions, TeamCity, Bitbucket Pipelines…)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS…)
- Experience with observability platforms (Elastic, DataDog, NewRelic…)
- Analytical mindset with solution oriented approach
- Team player with a strong focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Cross departmental work ethics and collaboration
- Open mind with an interest in discovering root causes and solving problems
Additional Requirement
According to the Luxembourg law of July 23rd 2016 (as amended), the successful applicant will be required to provide a Criminal Record before signing the employment contract.
