Governance.io is a product of 2Gears S.A., the Luxembourg based investment fund software specialist. 2Gears has offices in Luxembourg and The Netherlands.

The company was founded in 2011 by Twin brothers Rob and Bert Boerman, who bring a combined 40 years of technology and investment fund experience to the company.
In June 2016, Governance.io was awarded as the FinTech startup of the Year in Luxembourg. The company received 2 rounds of investments from a group of financial sector specialists.
