Are you looking for a job in Luxembourg and want to save time? Job boards are your best allies in your search, especially thanks to job alerts. With just a few clicks, you can define your criteria and receive the latest opportunities by email… giving you a real head start over other profiles.

Understand how a job board is organised and target your search more effectively

A job board is your gateway to thousands of job offers published by numerous companies. To avoid getting lost and maximise your chances of coming across the right ad, it’s essential to understand how to use filters and categories properly.

Typically, there are two main ways to search for jobs on a job board:

By entering keywords in the search bar;
By selecting filters from the menu provided.

The most common filters on a job board include:

Location;
Professions or sectors;
Type of contract;
Experience;
Level of education;
Languages;
Working hours;
Publication date.

By selecting one or more filters, the number of offers is updated in real time, so you can see immediately whether your search is too broad... or too narrow.

In most cases, you can choose how often you want to receive your alerts (daily, weekly, or monthly). As soon as a new offer matches your criteria, a notification lands directly in your mailbox.

Why use a job alert?

If you know exactly what you're looking for, your alerts will save you precious time, as you won't have to repeat the same searches every day. No more confusion between the various job sites and adverts. With job alerts, you'll receive the day's essential information, presented in a clear and up-to-date way.

By activating the alerts, you'll be informed as soon as a new vacancy is published, so you can apply quickly and be among the first profiles to apply.

Our tip: Activate a daily alert so that you don't miss anything and are among the first CVs consulted by recruiters.

There's also nothing to stop you from creating several alerts based on different keywords. This is a good way of covering as many possibilities as possible.

Our tip: For an even more effective search, we recommend that you select a specific category and geographical area. This way, you'll access all relevant vacancies within a given industry in your preferred region.

Testing out our alerts is simple. Just head to the "Job offers" tab on Moovijob.com and carry out your search using the search bar or the filters on the left-hand menu.
