As a result of the continuous increase in our activities, we are looking for a:


Manager Fund Accounting


As a Fund Accounting Manager in the Fund Accounting & Transfer Agency department, your role will encompass all facets of the Production & Delivery, People and Financial Management oversight for our portfolio of PERE clients. This is a challenging and rewarding role which provides exposure to all elements of a PERE fund’s accounting processes and life cycle. Working with other members of the team and supervising them, your responsibilities will include:


Your role: 


  • Manages processes and activities through downstream Senior Fund Accountants and Fund Accountants to achieve expected service, solution or product outcomes for team and/or AFS department of accountability;
  • Accountable for ensuring all work is completed timely, accurately and according to procedures. Makes decisions regarding processes/systems issues, utilizing depth of knowledge/technical expertise to provide guidance and direction to teams. Escalates issues, as appropriate. Manages communication with appropriate stakeholders. Drives team to identify and implement continuous improvements. Prioritizes and aligns work to strategic priorities;
  • Proactively identifies, evaluates and reduces operational risk, and assesses controls, utilizing metrics and exceptions reporting, to ensure AFS department productivity and quality of output. Evaluates risk events and recommends/implements corrective actions for control deficiencies. Contributes suggestions to improve control environment and manages risks;
  • Provides input to strategy for AFS department, leveraging business, technology and industry domain knowledge and expertise;
  • Represents AFS department in cross-divisional projects as subject matter expert, and may lead department level projects. Leads change implementation and acceptance in department;
  • Actively involved in the recruitment process for dedicated teams and responsible for the integration of new team members;
  • Identifies, coaches and develops talent in their team to meet and/or exceed performance expectations;
  • Understands current and forecasts future work volumes and staffing needs required to meet service objectives. Will assist the senior leaders in driving forward key initiatives for talent development;
  • Manages assigned budget for team within established guidelines. Proactively adjusts financial plan and business goals in response to changing business and economic environment, and ensures business goals are met within established financial targets. Understands and communicates business/financial climate and decisions/prioritization to team.


Your profile:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree preferred but not necessary;
  • The equivalent of 4+ year’s management experience either directly managing employees or playing senior role;
  • Thorough business management knowledge to implement processes, products or services, and technical expertise to apply functional/process knowledge to diverse issues;
  • Qualifications in CPA, CIMA, CA and ACCA preferred;
  • Experience in accounting for Private Equity/Real Estate funds in Luxembourg is an advantage;
  • You have a knowledge of various accounting standards and principals (LUXGAAP, and ideally also IFRS or USGAAP);
  • You have a knowledge of the regulatory regulations pertaining to Alternative funds such as RAIF, knowledge of AIFM regulation;
  • Fluent English in both writing and speaking, French is an advantage;
  • You have a working knowledge of MS Office including mastering Excel;
  • Investran knowledge is a plus.
