Since 2011, Moovijob.com has been supporting employment in Luxembourg by organising the country’s leading recruitment events in the Grand Duchy. The year 2018 was marked by the launch of a new Luxembourgish event… in Paris!

Once long affected by a poor image, recruitment events have become an essential tool for companies looking to hire while strengthening their employer brand. 350 Luxembourg-based companies took part in the 3 events organised by Moovijob.com in 2017, welcoming a total of 15,000 visitors. The enthusiasm was reflected in the results, with more than 1,600 hires made, an average of 4 hires per company.
"Recruitment methods have evolved significantly," says Yannick Frank, Country Manager Luxembourg at Moovijob.com. "There is a lot of talk about digitalisation in recruitment. That’s a good thing, but it’s not enough because, paradoxically, it is in this fully digital era that our events generate the most interest. It is above all face-to-face meetings that create a real connection!"
If recruitment events are so popular, it is not only because the human aspect takes centre stage, but also because extensive matching work is carried out. Visitors attending must correspond to the recruitment needs of participating companies. Sourcing, pre-selection, targeted invitations… all are key to success. "Recruiters have never been so demanding because their challenges are numerous," continues Yannick. "They need to be efficient, and for some roles, finding the right profile has become a real challenge."
This challenge led Moovijob.com to take a new step by deciding to organise a Luxembourg event… outside its borders. "We are going to bring Luxembourg to Paris," says Yannick Frank, Country Manager Luxembourg at Moovijob.com, enthusiastically. "No French companies will be allowed. Luxembourg is moving to Paris to meet new talent interested in the Grand Duchy."
This event, organised with the support of Digital Lëtzebuerg and the Ministry of the Economy, will take place in a prestigious venue in the French capital: the Pavillon Vendôme, located on the famous Parisian square of the same name. "A project like this deserved an exceptional venue!" adds Yannick.
Luxembourg heads to Paris on 29 May
Exclusivity will be key, as only 30 Luxembourg companies will be able to take part. "We are limiting participation to 30 companies with recruitment needs strictly in IT, Finance, and Legal. The aim is to address the shortage of highly qualified profiles in these sectors. Quality, confidentiality, and exclusivity are essential to make this evening a success."
Beyond recruitment, this first Luxembourg event abroad also has a second objective: promoting the Grand Duchy internationally. "There is still too little awareness of Luxembourg abroad. The goal is not only to offer visitors a career opportunity, but also to provide all the key information that will convince them to settle in the Grand Duchy: quality of life, healthcare system, education system, real estate, tourism… Anyone attending this evening should leave with only one desire: to join us in Luxembourg!"

This relocated Luxembourg recruitment event is expected to be the first step in a broader initiative by Moovijob.com, which is already working on similar events in other countries. Could this be the beginning of a European recruitment tour for Luxembourg?
