Recruiting and retaining new talent is a major challenge for companies today.
CARE is proud to once again organise dayCARE, an innovative and socially responsible initiative that gives secondary school students aged 16–18 the chance to complete a one-day work placement with companies across Luxembourg. The 2025 edition was a great success: over 90 companies, 15 schools, and 363 students took part!
On 29 October, dayCARE will once more offer thousands of students in Luxembourg their first insight into the world of work through a one-day placement. Open your doors to the talent of tomorrow!
What is dayCARE?
On 29 October, dayCARE gives you the opportunity to welcome one or more students for a one-day placement within your company. Each student you welcome is rewarded by a donation supporting a CARE Luxembourg project: the training of healthcare staff in Niger and Laos. It’s a fantastic way to link your HR needs with your CSR and community commitments.
Why take part?
Students aged 16–18 are in the final years of secondary school but often haven’t yet had the chance to gain work experience. dayCARE is the perfect opportunity to show them the diversity of careers and the breadth of Luxembourg’s economic landscape. It’s a unique chance to connect with your potential future employees and showcase your company and its career prospects. What’s more, only the most curious, engaged, and motivated students apply for placements, a guarantee of quality for a mutually rewarding day.
For this 16th edition, you can choose from two ways to get involved: the classic dayCARE or the Digital Challenge:
- Your company wants to take part by providing a one-day placements and introduce students to your professions? The classic dayCARE is meant for you!
- If your company would like to mentor students more specifically on digital topics, opt for the Digital Challenge option, in partnership with IMS Luxembourg.
What’s in it for your company?
By taking part in dayCARE, you’ll meet motivated young people, willing to learn and develop alongside you. You’ll have a direct impact on their career choices while gaining valuable insight into this new generation’s perspective. The placement can also pave the way for apprenticeships or longer-term internships in the future. In doing so, your company strengthens its social responsibility and supports its talent pipeline.
How to register?
dayCARE will take place on 29 October 2025. The deadline to register is 30 September 2025 at daycare.lu.
