Reporting into the Operational Head of Fund Administration – Luxembourg, the successful candidate will work with the global fund administration team members in delivering a range of fund administration/fund accounting services to a varied portfolio of clients and related entities, primarily focusing on Luxembourg Private Capital (Private Equity / Real Estate) funds.
The successful candidate will need to have experience working in the Luxembourg Fund Administration industry, be able to manage the related workload and ensure that client requests are responded to within a suitable timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing the funds’ periodic Net Asset Value calculation and year-end financial statements, management of the audit, and reviewing other fund related reports
- Coordinate and arranging investor servicing, including investor on-boarding, capital calls, distributions, carried interest calculation as well as issuance of shareholder statements
- Preparing of annual and quarterly client entities management accounts, reporting and financial statements under the relevant GAAPs and regulations
- Responsible for the financial information of a portfolio of fund clients and work as part of the team to achieve and meet their needs
- Liaison with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries and ensuring a smooth running of the year end
- Preparation and review of regulatory filings BCL and CSSF reports;
- Follow up with the latest regulatory requirements, have critical thinking and try to improve efficiency within the function
- Processing of bank payments, reconciliation of payment logs and approvals
- Production and circulation of invoices, fee collection and chasing debtors
- Pro-actively take on and support additional responsibilities and administration tasks as required by your manager or clients
- Supervise and assist in the training of more junior members of the team and provide feedback and identify any additional training needs to your direct manager
- Absolute devotion to data integrity with attention to detail in all activity, with particular focus on utilising the systems to their maximum potential to drive efficiency and client service
- Support an 'Ogier Best Way' ethos across the team through rigorous process analysis to drive alignment and consistency
- Contribute towards the business as a whole in identifying process improvements, improvements in policies and procedures and any other service innovation changes that would improve the client experience
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures, including those related to the prevention of anti-money laundering and terrorist Financing and reporting of suspicious activity or transactions, client due diligence and record keeping
- Undertake any project work as required, undertaking initiatives identified and designated from time to time by your direct Manager
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the finance industry preferred, specifically within Luxembourg Fund accounting/fund administration (Private Equity, Real Estate or Debt Fund Administration)
- Strong academic background, preferably Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Ideally having an accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) or part qualified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of the MS Office package
- Investran knowledge would be advantageous
- Good understanding of the applicable Luxembourg statutory laws and other related legal and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering regulations
- Responsive and client focused with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to deal with tasks independently and use own initiative
- Must be committed and driven to achieving excellence for themselves, their clients and their team.
