Junior Network Engineer (m/f)

Your Mission:

• Maintain and administer our world-wide network based on Cisco (LAN, WLAN, WAN (internet/leased L2 lines) and all the different layers between them).
• Support datacenter network tasks in a highly available operational context.
• Assist in disaster recovery operations.
• Maintain firewalls.
• Manage security aspects based on our SIG web proxy and MFA solution (both Cisco)
• Taking part of the implementation of an SD-WAN project
• Monitor the different network elements and layers with SolarWinds
• Analyze network performance and determine if adjustments are required.
• Proactive reporting of security findings to the team
• Troubleshoot various network related issues.
• Protect data by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
• Apply security best practices on each network.
• Replace faulty network hardware components when required.
• Level 2 support with the Service Desk team
• Documentation and reporting

Your Profile:

• You are committed to understand how “it” works.
• Hence, you are not afraid not understanding something. On the opposite you take it as a challenge.
• Highly motivated you never give up when something is not working. The more it resists, the more you want to resolve it.
• You have an open, “wanting to learn” mindset.
• You present excellent communication skills.
• In the same spirit as above, you like to share what you learn with others.
• You appreciate working alone but also as part of a member of a team, in collaboration with others.
• You are resistant to stress. You present an assertive and, most importantly, positive attitude
• BAC + 3 in computer science is a big +
• 2 years experience in a similar position
• Any certification in “mainstream” IT software is always a big +
• You understand ITIL processes
• You are fluent in French and have good working knowledge in English.
